Brow After Care:
DAY 1: Enjoy your fresh brows
Gently blot any lymph fluid from your brow with a damp paper towel. Wash your fresh brows before bed. Do not apply ointment today.
Days 2-7: Wash twice a day
Wash twice daily to remove bacteria, build up of product and oils, and dead skin. (Don’t worry, THIS DOES NOT REMOVE THE PIGMENT!)
Gently wash eyebrows with water and an antibacterial soap. With a very light touch, use a q-tip (or clean fingers) to gently cleanse the eyebrows (go in the direction of your hair). Rub the area in a smooth motion for 10 seconds and rinse with water ensuring that all soap is rinsed away. To dry, gently pat with a clean paper towel.
DO NOT use any cleansing products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA), or exfoliants.
Make sure your brows are completely dry before you apply the ointment.
Days 2-14 Moisturize
Starting on day 2, apply a rice grain amount of antibiotic aftercare ointment and spread it across the treated area, If you have oily skin, apply it once at night. If you have dry skin, apply once in morning and once at night. Be sure not to over-apply, as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing. The ointment should be barely noticeable on the skin.
NEVER put the ointment on a wet or damp tattoo.
Days 2-14 Blot Oil Sheets
Recommended highly for oily skinned clients or clients getting your service in summer months.
Use blot oil sheets to soak up any sweat or oil build up in the brows. You can use throughout the days when you are healing by gently tapping it directly to your brow.
Important notes about brow aftercare-
Limit your showers to 5-8 minutes so that you do not create too much steam. You want to keep them out of water unless you are washing them.
Change your pillow cases and try to sleep on your back to prevent rubbing your fresh brows on the pillow.
Avoid getting brows wet and avoid working out and swimming. NO SWEATING!
Do not pick or scratch your brows at all during healing process.
Exposure to sun or tanning beds will cause fading or discoloration.
Try not to touch your face (brow area) much during healing. Your hands could have bacteria or oils that we don't want in your fresh brows.
Once completely healed, always add SFP (50 or greater) to the brow area when outside so your brows fade true to color. A lot of sun exposure can cause uneven discoloration and turn your brows ashy.
Avoid using chemical exfoliants on brow area, it will cause fading.
Do not use laser (IPL) in your brow. It will fade or discolor them.
Additional brow make up might be required for your desire look, especially when you have on a full face of make up.
Please wait two full weeks for results, and remember to book your follow up appointment.
Lip Blush After Care:
DAY 1-5: Enjoy your fresh lips.
Wash lips before bed with lukewarm water and unscented soap. Apply thin layer of Aquaphor Lip (twist up top without SPF) after cleaning. Apply lip moisturizer as needed. (Every hour is recommended)
Repeat in the morning. You will continue this for 5 days minimal. Please remember this is a tattoo and should be cared for like an open wound. Do not over saturate with healing balm and do not let your lips get too dried out. It is important to not pick or bite on your lips. It is normal for the color to be uneven. Lips should naturally flake away like a sunburn.
Color on lips will take anywhere from 4-8 weeks to show back up on the lip area.
Touch ups recommended at 4-6 weeks for lip blush OR 6-8 weeks for neutralization.
IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT LIP AFTERCARE:
No application of any lip makeup for 1 week other than Aquaphor Lip.
No scratching, picking, or licking of dry skin or flakiness.
No super spicy foods, acidic foods or alcohol during the first 48 hours.
No foreign body fluids in or around the lips for 5 days.
No activities that will cause extreme sweating for 5 days.
No swimming pools, hot tubs, or other bodies of water for 5 days.
No UV exposures, including tanning beds, for 5 days.
No laser light therapy, as it can darker or lighten/distort the pigment.
No exfoliants, retinol acids, glycolic acids or alpha hydroxy acids for 30 days. It can cause premature fading.
No massages, facials or skin treatments for 5 days.
Please note: NEUTRALIZATIONS can take longer to heal than 5 days, you may experience extra peeling and flaking for up to 6 weeks while they continue neutralizing. You may also experience hyper/hypo-pigmentation that is temporary. Please continue with the aftercare until they are completely healed.
Lash Enhancement Aftercare
Some puffiness is normal for right after and the following couple of days. Unless you extremely sensitive eyes and they experience more than the usual puffiness or redness, it shouldn’t affect normal day-to-day activities.
Eyes are naturally wet but just refrain from soaking your eyes area in water (shower/ bath/ swimming), avoid saunas, wearing eye makeup, applying moisturizer, etc.
We recommend a week long dry heal. You may wash them with a little bit of water and antibacterial soap but DO NOT SCRUB or rub your eyes aggressively.
The color will fade in and out for up to 4 weeks while the pigment settles into the skin.
Touch ups recommended at 4-6 weeks.
